Who needs it
EU, EEA and Swiss citizens who live in Spain for more than three months. The green certificate proves your registration and shows your NIE.
What you'll need to show
That you work, are self-employed, study or have enough money and health insurance, plus your local registration (empadronamiento) at the town hall.
After registration
You can get a social security number, open a resident bank account and, after five years, apply for permanent residence.
