5Good to know

Tax residence certificate

Issued by the Tax Agency to prove that you are a tax resident in Spain, for example so that a foreign country applies a double tax treaty and doesn't tax you twice.

Certificate of non-residence

Often requested by Spanish banks to keep a non-resident account, and useful for non-residents selling property. See Spanish bank account opening.

Make sure your tax details are up to date with Form 030. You'll need a NIE for any of these requests.
